Formal and continued education as well as research regarding sport law and sport governance.

Who We Are
Welcome to our Association!
The Canadian Sport Law & Governance Association (CSLGA) is a Canadian non-profit organisation incorporated under the 'Canada Not-For-Profit Corporation Act S.C. 2009,c23.
Our goal is the understanding, advancement and ethical practice of sport law, Lex sportiva and sport governance .
We welcome not only practicing lawyers, educators, students, and other sport professionals from Canada but from around the world to develop best practices in international sport law and in sport governance, relating to professional and amateur sports.
The Mission of the Association includes, inter alia, the followings :
To be present, from coast to coast in Canada, in order to promote and develop canadian and provincial sport law(s);
To forge partnerships with other national and international sport law and sport governance associations and other sport organisations, in order to learn from each other;
Intervene and be vocal in Canada for ethical questions concerning sport issues (sexual harrasments, human rights, etc);
Pro-bono work for athletes rights;
Educate about sport law and sport governance (via seminars, conferences, courses with credits towards continued education);
To develop Lex sportiva from Canada (best place since we have both jurisdications: common law & civil law!);
